Essential Functions

  • Serves as Data Analyst for the Community Care Program CCP and other alternative care analyses within the Department on Aging. 
  • Researches evaluates and executes subsequent policy for the demonstration and fiscal aspects of various Home and Community Based Demonstration Projects. 
  • Confers with management to provide program policy and operational support through such means as evaluation of existing program operations recommendations to improve availability of statewide services and development of legislative analyses including fiscal implications.
  • Works directly with other data analysis staff and program staff in the development of reports. Assists data analysis unit in requests and reports for various Department programs. Prepares coordinates and assists in presenting maps and charts to agency staff designed to aid in the understanding of programs.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college, supplemented by a master's degree in business or public administration, with coursework in areas such as economic theory, accounting and finance, organizational theory, and operations research.
  • Requires one year progressively responsible professional experience in management operations analysis or the completion of an approved training program.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prefers three years of experience utilizing advanced features of Microsoft Excel.
  • Prefers three years of experience performing data analysis utilizing SPSS or similar research and statistical software.
  • Prefers two years of experience developing and presenting data-based reports.
