Position Overview

The ISP is seeking an individual to serve as a Human Resources Representative, working with transactions for code employees.  The ideal candidate is a self-starter, highly motivated, and able to work independently to meet deadlines. A “can-do” attitude is necessary to succeed in this position.

Job Responsibilities

  • Serves as a human resources generalist.
  • Performs difficult personnel functions preparing and processing personnel transactions.
  • Serves as a Human Resources subject matter expert.
  • Prior to payroll closing, or as needed, monitor MOBIUS to print any CMS turn-around documents.
  • Track and process all semi-automatic promotions.
  • Respond to employment verifications from other state agencies seeking to employ current ISP Employees.
  • Other duties as assigned or required

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Knowledge, skill and metal development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college.
  2. One (1) year of professional experience, preferably in Human resources, or satisfactory completion of an approved training program.

Preferred Qualifications (In Order of Significance)

  1. One (1) year of working knowledge of Illinois State Government.
  2. One (1) year of experience in Human Resources program.
  3. One (1) year of experience processing transactions in a Human resources program. 
  4. One (1) year of experience and knowledge of the State of Illinois hiring process.
  5. One (1) year of experience researching transactional issues to arrive at an appropriate course of action to proceed.

 

Conditions of Employment

  1. Successfully pass a background check.
  2. Successfully pass an ISP drug test.

Work Hours:  M-F; 8:30am - 5:00pm
