Position Overview
Target Throwing Machine Mechanics prepare target machines for events; set target machines for speed, elevation and angles; perform general maintenance on target machines, voice activated equipment and coin operated target counters.
Essential Functions
- Repair/maintain target throwing machines;
- Setting targets to governing body's standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to to completion of 8th grade.
- Requires prior target throwing mechanic experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefers knowledge of Pat Trap and Matterelli target throwing machines;
- Prefers knowledge of the ATA and NSSA rules and regulations on target setting speeds and angles;
- Prefers knowledge of the ATA and NSSA general rules and regulations; knowledge of safe firearm handling procedures;
- Prefers ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Employment Conditions

- Must be a minimum of 17 years old;
- Possession of a valid Drivers License;
- Requires capability to lift, carry, transport loads up to 25 pounds;
- Requires physical condition and ability to perform position responsibilities;
- Requires the ability to work most weekends, and some nights or holidays;
- Ability to alter work schedule to meet the needs of the WSRC including some long shifts up to 9-10 hours;
- Ability to pass background check;
- Requires ability to legally be around firearms.
