Target Throwing Machine Mechanic

Position Overview

Target Throwing Machine Mechanics prepare target machines for events; set target machines for speed, elevation and angles; perform general maintenance on target machines, voice activated equipment and coin operated target counters. 

Essential Functions

1. Repair/maintain target throwing machines;
2. Setting targets to governing body's standards.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to to completion of 8th grade.
2. Requires prior target throwing mechanic experience.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Prefers knowledge of Pat Trap and Matterelli target throwing machines;
2. Prefers knowledge of the ATA and NSSA rules and regulations on target setting speeds and angles;
3. Prefers knowledge of the ATA and NSSA general rules and regulations; knowledge of safe firearm handling procedures;
4. Prefers ability to follow oral and written instructions.

Employment Conditions

All applicants must be able to meet the following Conditions of Employment, with or without reasonable accommodation, to be considered for this position. 

1. Must be a minimum of 17 years old;
2. Possession of a valid Drivers License;
3. Requires capability to lift, carry, transport loads up to 25 pounds;
4. Requires physical condition and ability to perform position responsibilities;
5. Requires the ability to work most weekends, and some nights or holidays;
6. Ability to alter work schedule to meet the needs of the WSRC including some long shifts up to 9-10 hours;
7. Ability to pass background check;
8. Requires ability to legally be around firearms.
