Veterans Outreach Program
We give our support to the men and women who have given theirs...
Completing a profile is the first step to state employment. Your military service may result in additional points on your application[NT1] . It is important, when completing the applicant profile, that veterans provide complete and descriptive duties for each position you held during your military service. Be sure to list each change in rank separately, including the dates served in each rank, average hours per week spent on duty, specific duties performed, etc.
Under State law, qualified veterans are entitled to appointment preference and/ or additional points added to an application[NT2] . All veterans will be required to submit a certified copy of their DD214/DD215 as proof of service at the time of application. Please direct all Veteran Outreach questions directly to VeteransOutreachByEmail@illinois.gov.
