Position Overview
The Division of Developmental Disabilities is seeking to hire a Psychologist I for the Choate Mental Health and Developmental Center located in Anna, Illinois to perform professional psychologist services to individuals including assessment program planning, instructing staff on implementation of programs and data collection and interpretation of individual progress. Serves as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
Job Responsibilities

Performs professional psychologist services to individuals including assessment program planning, instructing staff on implementation of programs and data collection and interpretation of individual progress.

Assists with complex individuals.

Serves as a member of the interdisciplinary team.

Instructs professional and non-professional staff regarding proper behavior modification techniques.

Participates in Facility committees and Psychology Department meetings as appointed, this includes Behavior Intervention Committee and Medical Staffing meetings.

Performs other duties as requires or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires a master’s degree in psychology from a recognized college or university supplemented by two years’ professional experience in psychology or satisfactory completion of the psychologist associate program.
*This class is included as an Upward Mobility Program credential title.

- Requires ability two work cooperatively and effectively with staff members and individuals.
- Requires ability to properly interpret psychological information and to make sound recommendations.
- Requires ability to physically restrain individuals as necessary to prevent injury to individual or others.
- Requires ability to work after business hours, weekends and holidays on a rotation basis.
- Requires the ability to meet all agency vaccine/health-related policies and guidance.
- Requires ability to pass the Illinois Department of Human Services background check.
- Requires ability to pass a drug screen for drugs prohibited from recreational use under Illinois Law.
Work Hours: Mon - Fri, 8:00am - 4:30pm working 1 late night every other week.
