Essential Functions
- Serves as Facilities Laborer
- Operates various types of equipment, such as pallet jacks, dollies, hand tools, ladders, power carts, stackers, postage meter, duplicating equipment, faxing and copying machinery, etc.
- Assists with moves of facilities
- Delivers and checks quantity and quality of paper supplies to ensure paper is available to all offices
- Performs scanning of property control on an as-needed basis
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of high school
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in a public or business organization performing facility moves of office furniture, equipment, etc. from one work site to another
- 2 years of experience conducting inventories of facilities for a public or business organization.
- 2 years of experience in a public or business organization exercising basic knowledge of building maintenance equipment use and care in the performance of duties
Conditions of Employment
- Requires ability to pass a background check.
- Requires ability to travel in the performance of duties. Requires appropriate, valid driver’s license.
- This position is considered heavy work as defined by the U.S. Department of Labor (20 CFR 404.1567(d). Heavy work involves lifting no more than 100 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Requires ability to use hand tools, power stacker, dollies, carts, and power jacks.
- Requires ability to perform basic repairs to facilities.
