Position Overview
The Division of Mental Health is seeking to hire a Methods & Procedures Advisor 1 for the Chester Mental Health Center, located in Chester, Illinois to perform technical, research and advisory functions relative to the development, analysis, operation, techniques and procedures utilized in specific phases of the hospital business. Analyzes, summarizes and presents relevant information to top level managers for decision making. Coordinates Performance Improvement Monitoring activities to ensure processes being monitored are meeting standard requirements.
Job Responsibilities
- Performs technical, research and advisory functions relative to the development, analysis, operation, techniques and procedures utilized in specific phases of the hospital business.
- Coordinates with Staff Development the review of individual records.
- Assist the Quality Manager with TJC and other regulatory group compliance measures.
- Serves as a member of assigned hospital committees (ex; Clinical Programs, Quality Council, Health and Safety, Risk Management, Health Information Management, TJC Chapter Holder) and attends meetings.
- Monitors and evaluates the Staff and Consumer Surveys.
- Monitors and reviews reports and outcome measure reports for the Joint Commission, National Research Institute and any other regulatory entities.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of (4) four years of college with courses in public administration, accounting, industrial relations, prelegal or personnel management.
- Requires (1) one year professional experience in public administration, business management or accounting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Three (3) years of professional experience working with accreditation and certification bodies.
- Three (3) years of professional experience meeting deadlines with strong attention to detail and the ability to utilize critical thinking skills while multi-tasking multiple projects.
- Two (2) years of professional experience monitoring and evaluating the quality appropriateness of individual care for a private or public organization.
- One (1) year of experience monitoring and evaluating surveys.
- One (1) year of experience communicating effectively both verbally and in writing.
- One (1) year of experience performing quality assurance assessment.
Conditions of Employment
- Requires the ability to work after business hours, weekends and holidays.
- Requires ability to pass the IDHS background check.
- Requires ability to pass a drug screen for drugs prohibited from recreational use under Illinois Law.
- Requires ability to meet all agency vaccine/health-related policies and guidance.
Work Hours: Mon - Fri, 8:30am - 4:30pm
