Essential Functions

  • Serves as Assistant Guardian.
  • Serves as second in command regarding guardianship services.
  • Serves as full line supervisor.
  • Serves as liaison with the Department’s Psychiatric Hospitalization Unit.
  • With authority to commit the Department to a specific course of action, represents the Department before other state agencies and governmental entities, private and public organizations, and other community and professional groups.
  • Serves as program monitor for Statewide Consent Unit contracts, including those for the review of psychotropic medications and for the review of recommended major medical treatment for youth by pediatric consultants.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires a master’s degree in social work or a related human services field.
  • Requires four (4) years of administrative child welfare/child protection experience with an MSW OR five (5) years of administrative child welfare/child protection experience with a master’s degree in a related human services field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prefers four (4) years of professional experience making decisions in a high-pressure environment in a public or business organization.
  • Prefers four (4) years of professional management experience in a public or business organization.
  • Prefers four (4) years of experience supervising professional staff in a public or business organization.
  • Prefers four (4) years of professional experience evaluating program and personnel performance in a public or business organization.
  • Prefers four (4) years of professional experience conducting quality review in a public or business organization.

Term Appointment:
