The Office of Illinois Governor, JB Pritzker is seeking an Advance Associate/Senior Advance Associate to join the Governor’s Advance team based in Chicago, IL. The Advance Associate/Senior Advance Associate will be responsible for planning and executing events for Governor JB Pritzker. Duties will include statewide travel to event sites ahead of the Governor’s arrival, creatively setting the stage and ensuring a smooth and organized event. Additionally, the Advance Associate/Senior Advance Associate will work closely with all departments within the Governor’s Office to ensure proper coordination of daily itineraries and scheduled events.
This position is full time and in person. Weeknight and weekend work is to occasionally be expected. Traveling the State of Illinois is required including overnight trips.
Ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent organizational skills, including multitasking, time management, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent event management and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work quickly and effectively and under high-pressure situations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- This position must possess and maintain a current, valid Driver License.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- At least 1-2 years of professional experience, preferably in Advance/Event planning/coordinating
