Position Overview

Under immediate supervision of the Executive I, coordinates the logistics of conference room planning; arranges furniture in accordance with meeting room outline; monitors to ensure that all conference rooms are set up in advance of all scheduled meetings and events; serves as laborer at various regional field office locations; moves furniture within field offices; moves equipment; assists with the maintenance of records and files; delivers and checks quantity and quality of supplies; prepares receiving reports; provides property control for the region and conducts physical inventory of facilities.

Essential Functions

  • Coordinates the logistics of conference room planning; arranges furniture in accordance with meeting room outline; monitors to ensure that all conference rooms are set up in advance of all scheduled meetings and events; drives to various regional office locations in performance of duties.
  • Serves as laborer at various regional field office locations; moves furniture within field offices; moves equipment; assists with the maintenance of records and files; organizes and boxes closed case files and assists with shipping; keeps logs of furniture and equipment moves.
  • Delivers and checks quantity and quality of supplies; prepares receiving reports; assembles and packs materials; loads and unloads supplies and equipment.
  • Provides property control for the region; schedules and conducts physical inventory of facilities; coordinates, assigns and places tags to all newly purchased equipment, transferred items from other state agencies and all lease purchased equipment; provides assistance in resolving inventory discrepancies; assists in movement of the surplus of equipment to CMS Property Control from Chicago.
  • Operates various types of equipment such as postage meter, duplicating, faxing, and copying machinery; monitors to ensure the maintenance of equipment in various field offices.
  • Prepares and maintains a variety of records on supportive operations.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years high school.
