Position Overview

The Corporate Accountability Act Program Manager will work to ensure there is a balanced approach to corporate compliance activities within the DCEO Office of Business Development. This candidate will be responsible for managing an annual reporting process as well as collaborating with internal and external business development professionals to ensure compliance with state laws. Essential Functions

  • Formulates and implements policies for the Division of Business Finance.
  • Formulates and implements the Corporate Accountability Act (CAA) function, including working with beneficiaries of state assistance in completing annual reporting and ensuring accurate and timely reporting of that information and inclusion on the website.
  • Plans for the effective monitoring of CAA.
  • Organizes the goals and objectives of the Corporate Accountability Program Manager.
  • Supervises staff.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college with courses in business, economics and finance.
  • Requires four (4) years progressively responsible administrative experience in a public or business entity working with business projects, preferably involving financial restructuring.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prefer at least one (1) year experience managing economic development programs, including grants, loans, tax incentives or technical assistance (State and Local).
  • Prefer two (2) or more years of professional experience in economics, marketing, and/or business administration or related compliance activity.
  • Prefer 6 months experience managing Corporate Accountability Act compliance in Illinois.
  • Prefer at least one (1) year experience managing government programs including tax incentives and grant programs.
  • Prefer at least three (3) years’ experience developing program goals and measurable objectives.
  • Prefer at least two (2) years’ experience working with business communities to ensure compliance with program requirements.
