This is a remote work position, but candidate may choose to work at ICJIA’s downtown Chicago office during the agency’s regular business hours Monday thru Friday (8:30 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.) pending availability.
This is a full-time position. The selected candidate must work 37.5 hours per week. The selected candidate will start as soon as possible.

POSITION POSTING/MARKETING STATEMENT

We are seeking a passionate and motivated individual to serve as the project director for ICJIA’s Domestic Violence Fatality Review initiative. The candidate will use their strong project management, communication, and organizational skills to foster relationships with domestic violence fatality review stakeholders, coordinate training and technical assistance, and support the implementation of recommendations for reducing domestic violence, related fatalities, and near-fatalities. Other tasks will include preparing reports, training materials, and model policies, planning and attending meetings, and maintaining the initiative’s secure storage site.

Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree in criminology, criminal justice, sociology, psychology, social work, public health, public administration, or a related field OR
- Bachelor’s degree in criminology, criminal justice, sociology, psychology, social work, public health, public administration, or a related field AND at least 2 years of experience working on projects that involved coordinating multiple teams, developing, and implementing training or educational materials, and/or managing a project or program that involved time sensitive or fixed deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience working on projects that involved coordinating multiple teams.
- At least 3 years of experience developing and implementing training or educational materials.
- At least 3 years of experience managing a project or program that involved time sensitive and fixed deadlines.
- Strong communication skills equivalent to delivering 3 or more presentations to professional or lay audiences, such as community-based organizations, government agencies, and criminal justice practitioner.
- Strong writing skills equivalent to drafting or assisting in drafting 2 or more reports or articles for professional or lay audiences, such as community-based organizations, government agencies, and criminal justice practitioners.
- At least 1 year of experience working with sensitive populations, such as domestic violence or gender-based violence victims, immigrants, or similar groups.
