The Illinois Workers' Compensation Commission is seeking a technically inclined individual for the position of End-User Specialist. The right candidate with play a key role in resolving technical issues, configuring devices, ensuring security compliance, and supporting essential software and CRM applications. Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission offers a robust benefit package including:

Essential Functions
- Manages end-user device setup and configuration – Assists with imaging, setup, and deployment of desktops, laptops, monitors, docking stations, and peripherals to ensure compatibility with the organization’s IT infrastructure.
- Ensures compliance with security policies – Implements security configurations, user access controls, and authentication protocols to safeguard sensitive data and prevent unauthorized access. Regularly reviews and updates security settings in alignment with agency guidelines and cybersecurity best practices.
- Provides software and system training – Assists end-users in understanding and effectively utilizing agency-specific applications, operating systems, and software tools, including Microsoft Office Suite, Windows 10/11, and other products.
- Provides agency CRM application support – Assists users with high-level CRM-related inquiries, troubleshooting access issues, and resolving user errors.
- Stays current with emerging IT trends
- Performs additional duties as assigned, ensuring alignment with the responsibilities outlined above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to four years of college with course work in computer science or directly related fields.
- Requires one year of professional experience in a related Information Technology field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefers a minimum of one (1) year professional experience in an IT support role within a networked environment, including hardware and software installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Prefers a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Prefers certifications in the following applications, CompTIA IT Fundamentals (ITF+), CompTIA A+, and/or CompTIA Network+.
- Prefers a minimum of two years of professional experience displaying superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively instruct users, provide technical guidance, and make informed recommendations to management.

The Illinois Workers' Compensation Commission resolves disputes between employees and employers regarding work-related injuries and illnesses. A case is first tried by an arbitrator, whose decision may be reviewed by a panel of three commissioners. Cases may then be appealed to the circuit court, Appellate Court, and Illinois Supreme Court. Like most court systems, the vast majority of disputes are resolved by settlement.
