This is a remote work position, but candidate may choose to work at ICJIA’s downtown Chicago office during the agency’s regular business hours Monday thru Friday (8:30 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.) pending availability.

 

This is a full-time position. The selected candidate must work 37.5 hours per week. The selected candidate will start as soon as possible.

Join the ICJIA HR team as a Trainer and play a pivotal role in shaping the learning and development landscape of the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority! As a Trainer you will be responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge. Responsibilities include: Develop and implement engaging training programs, conduct training sessions to enhance interpersonal skills among employees, Collaborate with Managers and Department heads to identify training needs and tailor programs, accordingly, utilize platforms for efficient delivery and tracking of training modules, incorporate methods to assess training effectiveness and make necessary adjustments, Assist in the development of strategies for training materials. Minimum Qualifications 1

Requires knowledge, skills, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college, preferably with courses in Education, Communication, Business, Human Resources, or any other related field.

Preferred Qualifications 1

1.  5 years of progressive, dedicated experience in organizational development, learning & development (including delivering in-person training and facilitating individual and high performing team sessions), or related experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications 2

2.  5 years of professional experience designing and facilitating training sessions, workshops, and seminars as needed utilizing a variety of instructional techniques to a variety of audiences preferred.

Preferred Qualifications 3

3.  3 years of experience effectively utilizing platforms (e.g., Teams, SharePoint) in the facilitation of training and sharing of information.

Preferred Qualifications 4

4.  3 years of professional experience building relationships at all levels of the organization, with a demonstrated ability to influence others preferred.

Preferred Qualifications 5

5.  5 years of experience in public speaking, facilitation, and training delivery preferred.

Preferred Qualifications 6

6.  5 years of experience creating various training resources, including job aids, training guides, facilitator guides, and participant materials preferred.

Preferred Qualifications 7

7.  3 years of experience utilizing and understanding of training design related to business alignment, behavioral competencies, and workforce planning needs preferred.

ICJIA administers over 100 million dollars in grants, including the R3 (restore, reinvest, renew) grants (funded through the tax on legalized cannabis), state violence prevention grants, and federal grants including under the Violence Against Women Act and the Victims of Crime Act. ICJIA convenes groups and collaborates on efforts to reform the criminal justice system. ICJIA leads criminal justice reform efforts by supporting policy makers through research.
