Job Responsibilities
Under direction of the Manager of the Small Business Management Unit, monitors and supports the activities of the Small Business Development Center Network grantees. Prepares reports and statements for the Statewide Small Business Development Center Network.
(20%) 1. Reviews Small Business Development Center Network grant agreements upon submission to DCEO for approval, including budget goals and objectives for Small Business Development Centers and other information and recommends corrective actions.
(20%) 2. Reviews Small Business Development Center Network monthly reports, with related fiscal information, year end financial "close-out" packages and recommends corrective action.
(20%) 3. Identifies specific problems and recommends solutions regarding Network Center grant agreements and related information; including all necessary correspondence with grantees, field staff and other essential parties.
(20%) 4. Utilizes Small Business Development Center Network computerized tracking system for the on-going monitoring of center information; acts as liaison to other divisions regarding SBDCN issues; including resolutions of past and present grantee problems.

(10%) 5. Assists in performing semi-annual program site reviews and monitoring of Small Business Development Center Network centers. Travels to perform site reviews.
(5%) 6. Recommends to DCEO/SBDCN management, ways of improving efficiency and productivity of Center processes; prepares reports and position papers as requested by DCEO Small Business Development Center Network staff.
(5%) 7. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Requires one year of professional experience in a public or private organization preferably with experience working with businesses and grant applications and processes.

Requires a valid driver's license to meet travel requirements on a statewide basis to conduct meetings and field visits.
Education Degree

Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college with courses in business, administration or related field.
