We are looking for someone to join our Office of Administrative Services team to perform complex and specialized clerical duties providing information and assistance, record processing, and office support. The incumbent will process information using agency policies and procedures using their own initiative and judgment. The incumbent will perform receptionist/clerical duties, respond to visitors and callers to the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority. This position is the initial point of contact for all visitors to the Authority. Job Responsibilities

Under general supervision, performs complex and specialized clerical duties providing information and assistance, record processing, and office support. Processes information using agency policies and procedures using own initiative and judgement. Performs receptionist/clerical duties, responds to visitors and callers to the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority. Act as initial point of contact for all visitors to the Authority. Determines work methods and procedures to complete assignments. Transports State cars for maintenance and assist Vehicle Coordinator with car pick up and drop off. Organize set up and tear down of agency and building conference rooms. Maintains inventory records and reports. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to two years of secretarial/business college, or completion of high school and two years if related office experience, or two years of independent business experience. Requires knowledge of state government.  Requires the ability to work independently and organize and prioritize projects. Requires the ability to meet people easily and to establish and maintain satisfactory working relationships with other employees, state departments, and the general public. Requires working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. 

Physical Requirements

Requires ability to lift/push/pull/move up to 50 pounds.
