Position Overview
Under direction, independently performs a wide variety of complex clerical and office support functions. Types, utilizing a personal computer, a variety of complex legal documents to include, letters, memorandums, reports, etc. Travels to and attends committee/board meetings, formal and informal conferences, court and other legal proceedings providing clerical assistance to staff attorneys. Independently receives and responds to routine written requests. Establishes, organizes and maintains various files.

Essential Functions
• Under direction, provides a wide variety of complex, specialized office support functions for the Manager of Loan Originator Regulation in gathering and reviewing various licensing requirement information/documentation and preparing for appearances before informal conferences with licensees, regarding the decision of the Director, when determining character and fitness for licensing.
• Utilizes a computer and various software applications to draft and update letters, reports, deficiency notifications, conditions for licensing, and deficiencies of applicable license requests.
• Travels to and attends formal and informal conferences and meetings, providing clerical assistance to the Manager of Loan Originator Regulation; i.e., compiling, organizing files and exhibits to be presented.
• Independently receives and responds to routine written requests.
• Establishes, organizes, and maintains various files to include legal correspondence, memoranda, licensing reports, licensing, disciplinary orders, and other related materials.
• Enters data on personal computer and/or laptop computer concerning lending activities.
• Attends and participates in various internal staff meetings to provide and receive information relative to licensing activities.
• Receives incoming mail, opens, date stamps, sorts, and distributes mail, official letters, and other incoming correspondence.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
• Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of high school.
• Requires two years of office experience.
• Requires the ability to keyboard accurately at a rate of 45 wpm.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefers at least three years of experience utilizing and interpreting state Professional Licensing Rules and Regulations.
- Prefers at least three years of office experience reviewing applications and/or providing information to explain or clarify rules, processes, or procedures.
- Prefers at least three years of office experience utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook or similar software.
- Prefers at least three years of office experience sorting, opening, and distributing physical mail.
- Prefers at least two years compiling reports using Microsoft Excel or similar software.
Conditions of Employment
- Requires ability to travel in the performance of duties, with overnight stays as appropriate.
- Requires completion of a background check and self-disclosure of criminal history.
