Position Overview

Performs Monitoring and Execution Supervisor, performs a variety of complex, specialized clerical support services, prepares and keyboards a variety of complex, specialized clerical support services; prepares and keyboards a variety of complex materials: exercises independent judgement and a command of legal, medical, and social terminology to review documents to proof appropriate use of terms and accuracy of information; maintains client information system; answers incoming phone calls and greets visitors; receives and distributes incoming mail; establishes and maintains case files.

Job Responsibilities

Performs complex, specialized clerical services for supervisor and professional child welfare staff

Maintains client information system; enters initial and updated client and office information into computer information systems; retrieves data from DCFS and DHFS systems.

Answers incoming phone calls and greets visitors; screens visitors/callers to determine nature of request; interviews caller to gather needed information to assess situation; 

Serves as designated lead operator for the office; orients professional and other clerical staff regarding department rules and office procedures; maintains instructional manuals..

Establishes and maintains case files, reviews incoming documents to ascertain proper section for placement in the case files; reviews turnaround documents for accuracy.

Completes and keyboards travel vouchers from handwritten materials, calculates and reviews to ensure accuracy, and returns to workers for review and signature. 

Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of high school

two years of office experience and the ability to keyboard accurately at 45 wpm.
