OVERVIEW:
The Pritzker Administration is seeking a Rapid Response Coordinator to support the communication team’s real-time rapid response efforts. The successful candidate will be an exceptional researcher who brings creativity and attention to detail to the role and someone who thrives in a collaborative team environment.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Reports to Deputy Chief of Staff for Communications.
- Works closely with the communications team to develop collateral, including fact sheets, backgrounder documents and supports rapid response efforts on key issues.
- Supports real-time media and social media monitoring efforts to aid the communications team response efforts.
- Closely tracks key issue areas and flags notable updates for the communications team. Shares resources to support developing key messages.
- Coordinates with subject matter experts on distilling complex issue areas.
- Helps fact check salient issues and statements in real time.
- Manages historical libraries of past statements, quotes, and press clips.
- Other tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 1-2 years of communications and media relations experience preferred.
- Impeccable attention to detail.
- Strong written skills.
- Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to think and communicate clearly, formulate a clear point of view on complicated issues, and create a concise and well-written narrative.
- Proven ability to work well within a team and elevate potential opportunities or challenges to leadership.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment, work well under tight deadlines, and readily adapt to changing priorities.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks/projects at once while maintaining a strong attention to detail.
