Essential Function
- Serves as staff assistant to the Deputy Director, providing consultation regarding matters which are often of a sensitive and/or controversial nature
- Provides professional assistance to the Deputy Director in the research, design, implementation, and reporting of special studies/projects on programmatic and administrative responsibilities
- Serves as timekeeper for the Office of Education and Transition Services
- Provides assistance to the Deputy Director in maintaining appointment schedule, coordinating travel arrangements, and completing travel vouchers.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college, preferably with courses in public or private administration.
- Requires two years of professional experience in a public or private organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefers 3 years of experience as an administrative assistant in a public or business organization.
- Prefers 3 years of office experience in a public or business organization.
- Prefers 3 years of experience conducting research and analyzing information in a public or business organization.
- Prefers 3 years of experience using Microsoft software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Prefers 3 years of experience representing his/her supervisor in meetings.
- Prefers 3 years of experience tracking data in a public or business organization.

- Requires ability to travel in the performance of duties. Requires appropriate, valid driver’s license.
