Essential Functions
- Serves as staff assistant to the Deputy Director, providing consultation regarding matters which are often of a sensitive and/or controversial nature.
- Provides professional assistance to the Deputy Director in the research, design, implementation, and reporting of special studies/projects on programmatic and administrative responsibilities.
- Researches, gathers detailed information, analyzes information, and prepares responses to communications on behalf of the Deputy Director.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college preferably with courses in public or business administration.
- Requires two years of professional experience in a public or business organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefers 2 years of experience as an administrative assistant.
- Prefers 2 years of office experience.
- Prefers 2 years of experience conducting research and analyzing information.
- Prefers 2 years of experience representing his/her supervisor in meetings.
- Prefers 2 years of experience tracking data.
Conditions of Employment
- Requires completion of a background check and self-disclosure of criminal history.
- Requires ability to travel in the performance of duties. Requires appropriate, valid driver’s license.
