OFFICE COORDINATOR, OPTION 2
Essential Functions
- As an Office Coordinator, performs technical secretarial and office support functions for the Gaming Unit Supervisor.
- Utilizes several computer applications relative to casino operations.
- Serves as a training coordinator for the casino.
- Processes travel vouchers.
- Processes mail, inventory, and files.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned, which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to two (2) years of secretarial/business college OR completion of high school and two (2) years of related office experience OR two (2) years of independent business experience.
- Requires ability to keyboard accurately at 30 WPM.
Conditions of Employment
- Pass Illinois Gaming Board’s background investigation (background check).
- Must comply with the State Officials and Employees Ethics Act: No State employee who works for the Illinois Gaming Board, or spouse or immediate family member living with such person shall, during State employment, hold an ownership interest in, other than a passive interest in, a publicly traded company, in any gaming license under the Illinois Gambling Act, the Video Gaming Act, the Illinois Horse Racing Act of 1975, or the Sports Wagering Act.
- Must comply with the Illinois Gambling Act: No person shall be employed to serve the Board who is, or whose spouse, parent or child is, an official of, or has a financial interest in or financial relation with, any operator engaged in gambling operations within this State, or any organization engaged in conducting horse racing within this State.
- Must comply with the Illinois Gambling Act: For the one year immediately preceding employment, an employee shall not have been employed or received compensation or fees for services from a person or entity, or its parent or affiliate, that has engaged in business with the Board, a licensee, or a licensee under the Illinois Horse Racing Act of 1975.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefers two (2) years of experience in an office setting applying extensive knowledge of office practices and procedures.
- Prefers two (2) years of experience in an office setting applying extensive knowledge of composition, grammar, spelling and punctuation.
- Prefers two (2) years of experience in an office setting applying extensive knowledge of manual and automated office equipment.
Work Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday
