Essential Functions
- Serves as the liaison for Budget and Fiscal office.
- Serves as a Liaison for Human Resources and the timekeeper for the Bureau.
- Under general direction, serves as the staff assistant performing a variety of administrative duties of a confidential and sensitive nature for the Bureau of DuQuion State Fair (DSF).
- Maintains the inventory for the DSF administrative Office.
- Attends various meetings and seminars to keep informed on current rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of those enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college, preferably with courses in business, public administration.
- Requires one (1) year of professional experience in a public or private organization, or completion of an agency approved professional management training program.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefers one (1) year of experience with invoice/bill payment systems or accounting programs such as the System Application and Products in Data Processing (SAP) software.
- Prefers one (1) year of experience with budget appropriations.
- Prefers intermediate proficiency in Microsoft office suite or a similar program.
- Prefers one (1) year experience with tracking or handling employee attendance and the use of attendance computer system.
- Prefers one (1) year of experience with public communication via telephone, written and email.
Conditions of Employment
- Requires completion of a name-based background screening and self-disclosure of criminal history.
- Requires ability to travel in the performance of duties. Requires appropriate, valid driver’s license.
- Overtime is a condition of employment, and you may be requested or required/mandated to work overtime including scheduled, unscheduled, or last-minute overtime. This requires the ability to work evenings and weekends.
- This position will require the incumbent to work five (5) days a week in the office with no remote work availability.
