Job Responsibilities
Under immediate supervision, for a period of time between six and not to exceed twelve months receives instruction and training and performs beginning level duties in the care and treatment of patients who are mentally ill on an assigned shift on an assigned unit. Actively participates in classroom and on-the-job training classes. Receives hands-on-training in the Treatment Team process. Assists in the performance of duties to verify assigned living unit and patient service environment are maintained to meet department, hospital and regulatory standards.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of high school.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Requires ability to participate in and successfully complete a comprehensive training program.
Physical Requirements
Requires the ability to lift 50 lbs.
Work Hours: Various Units, Shifts and Days Off
Mental Health Technician Trainee: Work schedule will be based on operational needs and determined upon completion of on the job training (OJT).
8:00 am - 4:00 pm
4:00 pm - 12:00 am
12:00 am - 8:00 am
All Shifts have rotating days off
