Position Overview:
As the Public Service Administrator for the Division of Justice Services; plans executes, controls, and evaluates the Bureau of Identification fiscal and personnel operations related to the Criminal History REcord Information (CHRI), Disposition Acquisition, and Expungement Units; through subordinate professional staff, directs the work activities and administers the CHRI, Disposition/Acquisition, and Expungements units; confers with staff on budgetary expenditure levels and assists in determining expenditure level projections as it relates to the areas of responsibility; participates in new hire interviews; counsels staff regarding work performance and conduct; confers with management to resolve policy issues and implement new policy; maintains liaison with intra/intergovernmental agencies, private organizations and the public.

Essential Functions
- Under administrative direction, serves as an assistant Operations Officer for the Illinois Statewide Bureau of Identification assisting in the overall administration and management of the bureau performing complex and responsible duties.
- Serves as working supervisor establishing annual goas and objectives.
- Serves as an assistant to the Executive Operations Officer as it relates to the areas of responsibility - Data Entry, Customer Service, Expungement, and CHRI Imaging operations.
- On behalf of the Bureau Chief and the Deputy Director of the Division, attends management meetings, special committees, sub-committees, and task forces representing the Bureau and the Department.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to the completion of four years of college with courses in business, public administration, criminal justice, law enforcement, statistics, or computer science.
- Requires prior experience equivalent to three years of progressively responsible experience in a public or business organization in law enforcement, criminal justice, computer science, statistics, or a related field.
- Requires three years of supervisory experience in a public or business organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefers three (3) years of experience processing criminal history record information.
- Prefers two (2) years of experience interrupting and implementing federal and state laws and regulations.
- Prefers two (2) years of experience as a supervisor.
- Prefers one (1) year experience developing and delivering training.
