Position Overview

Under administrative direction of the Clinical Services Manager, serves as Clinical Services Coordinator; develops and manages a variety of consultation programs and services for special populations throughout the region; consults with and provides leadership within the region and local communities in the application of health care, mental health, special education, substance abuse, physical abuse, and child development to public child welfare entities; serves as a regional consultant in the areas of clinical practice, assessment, service planning, and psychiatric hospital discharge planning, treatment, and decision making; completes high profile case reviews; arranges for special reviews by specialty service providers; implements specialty programs for the severely emotionally disturbed (SED) population in the region, providing coordination of the Department’s SED Programs; provides interpretation of clinical records and technical reports; serves as working supervisor.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Develops and manages a variety of consultation programs and services for special populations throughout the region.
  2. Completes high profile case reviews; arranges for special reviews by specialty service providers and coordinates internal staffings to include record review and interviews with staff.
  3. Implements specialty programs for the severely emotionally disturbed (SED) population in the region, providing coordination of the Department’s SED Programs.
  4. Serves as working supervisor.
  5. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires an MSW and three years administrative child welfare experience

or

Requires a MA in an acceptable human services field and four years administrative child welfare experience
