Job Responsibilities
Under general supervision, reviews complex material to be typed, processed, and filed. Types a variety of routine forms, form letters, cards and records.
SPECIFICALLY:
25% - Types complex materials such as resumes for clients, weekly and monthly statistical reports, unit meeting minutes and vouchers for clients in training, proofs for correctness of grammar and punctuation and for clarity of content.
20% - Edits Authorization and Transmittal of Assistance Action forms received from casework staff; updates the computerized clients file i.e., client characteristics and client activity; enters employment and confidential materials including staff performance evaluations.
15% - Conducts computer clearance for welfare savings due to client obtaining employment, receiving unemployment benefits or non-cooperation; creates welfare savings reports and overdue case action report.

10% - Serves as receptionist; answers telephone and refers caller to appropriate person; greets and directs clients and visitors to proper party.
10% - Types a variety of routine forms, form letters, cards and records; proofs for clarity of content, grammar, and punctuation.
10% - Issues new or replacement LINK cards to clients, maintains records of card numbers issued or voided, completes computerized transactions to communicate activation of card to EBT contractor.
5% - Maintains files of forms, reports, and supplies; receives and distributes mail, prepares outgoing mail; reports unit attendance and maintains corresponding files.
5% - Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of high school and one year of related office experience.
- Requires ability to type at 35 wpm.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Requires working knowledge of alpha-numeric sequencing, working knowledge of office practices, procedures, and programs. Requires ability to operate commonly used manual and automated office equipment.
Work Hours: 8:30am-5:00pm Monday-Friday
