Essential Functions

  • Verifies assets when received at the warehouse
  • Prepares reports as required to submit to the IDVA Property Control Manager. On all fixed assets, including receipts, transfers in and out, deletions, and location changes
  • Works in the General Stores area as needed
  • Records all transactions regarding state property in SAP and in an Excel spreadsheet
  • Fulfills Property Movement work order requests
  • Checks permanent improvement specifications and prepares notification of land, buildings, and other asset transactions via an Asset Shell
  • Assures the State Property Control Act is followed by facility personnel and members
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above

Minimum Qualifications

Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of high school and two (2) years of clerical and bookkeeping experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of high school and two (2) years of clerical and bookkeeping experience
  • Thorough knowledge of the rules and regulations of the State Property Control Act
  • Two (2) years of experience planning, organizing, and supervising the activities of property control personnel
  • Two (2) years of experience interpreting and evaluating property assets, their depreciation and condemnation
  • Two (2) years of experience maintaining accurate records and preparing accurate inventory reports
  • Two (2) years of experience clerical and booking experience

  • Requires the ability to pass a background check
  • Requires ability meet all agency vaccine/health-related policies and guidance
  • Requires ability pass a drug screen and pre-employment physical
  • Requires ability utilize office equipment, including personal computers
  • Requires ability acquire and maintain Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificate
  • Requires ability attend seminars, conferences, and trainings to stay current on methods, tools, ideologies, or other industry related topics relevant to the job duties
  • Requires ability to travel in the performance of job duties, with overnight stays as appropriate
  • This position is considered very heavy work as defined by the U.S. Department of Labor (20 CFR 404.1567(e)). Very heavy work involves lifting objects weighing more than 100 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing 50 pounds or more
  • On-call and overtime are a condition of employment, and you may be required to work overtime including scheduled, unscheduled, or last-minute overtime, and may be required to work alternating weekends. This requires the ability to work evenings and weekends.
