Position Overview-Military State Distance Learning Program Administrator (SDLPA)
The Department of Military Affairs is looking to hire a Military State Distance Learning Program Administrator (SDLPA) for the State Distance Learning Program at Camp Lincoln in Springfield. This position under general direction The Distance Learning Program helps shape the technological landscape to best assist Soldiers accessing online learning resources. The Department of Military Affairs works with the members of the Illinois Air and Army National Guard. We welcome all interested applicants to apply.
Essential Functions
- Monitors the Army National Guard Distance Learning Classrooms (ARNG DLCs) and ensuring compliance with all technical, cybersecurity, and information assurance requirements published by the ARNG G-6 and the State G-6/J-6.
- Works with G6 counterparts to ensure unit training and readiness needs are met.
- Cooperate and coordinate with other Federal departments within ILARNG to ensure compliance to NGR 5-1, Appendix 40 and other applicable regulations, guidelines, and policies.
- Gathering and analyzing reports, planning, guidance, monitoring and evaluating program goals and metrics.
- Make and prepare presentations for higher echelons to convey program courses of action, decision briefs and status updates.
- Active signature authority for documents such as time and atlendance, travel authorizations, vouchers, supply order and other official documentation.
- Generate tasks to subordinates.
- Ensure daily tasks are complete (input usage to reporting website, cleaning of rooms, computer maintenance, network mitigation actions, network security compliance, travel to alternate sites, general inventory management, property book management and assisting Soldiers/Units training objectives).
- Prep classroom for scheduled events.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires four years of education or experience working in administrative field.
- Requires COMPTIA Security + certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefers experience with remote troubleshooting.
- Prefers two years of experience configuring computer software and installing/troubleshooting hardware.
- Prefers two years of experience troubleshooting audio/visual equipment.
- Prefers thorough working knowledge of applications and software, including spreadsheets, graphics, Microsoft Word, Excel, TEAMs, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
- Prefers knowledge of State and Federal guidelines as it pertains to Cooperative Agreements.
Employment Conditions
- Requires active or retired (minimum of 20 yrs) membership in the Illinois National Guard or retired (minimum 20 yrs) US Armed Forces, if last duty assignment was with the Illinois National Guard.
- Requires travelling to other state facilities using state owned vehicle. Requires a valid driver's license in the appropriate classification as required by law.
Work Hours: 8am - 4pm. Can vary based on mission requirements.
