Position Overview
The Division of Developmental Disabilities is seeking to hire a Mental Health Technician IV for the Ludeman Developmental Center located in Park Forest, Illinois to serve as a responsible House Manager on assigned homes on an assigned shift. Supervises and participates in all required personal services for individuals with developmental disabilities. Participates in all scheduled /unscheduled routine, follow-up, emergency appointments within and outside of Ludeman Developmental Center to enhance the quality of life for all individuals served ensuring compliance with center mandated policies and procedures. Provides direction to ensure the active treatment is provided for all individuals on a continuous basis and treatment plans are correct and consistent with each individuals’ habilitation/treatment plan/schedule.
Essential Functions
- Serves as a responsible House Manager on assigned homes on an assigned shift.
- Schedules all breaks and lunches for all assigned staff on an assigned shift.
- Serves as a working supervisor.
- As a House Manager, on a single shift within the home, participates in all scheduled /unscheduled routine, follow-up, emergency appointments within and outside of the Ludeman Developmental Center to enhance the quality of life for all individuals served ensuring compliance with center mandated policies and procedures.
- Conducts In-Service Training to lower-level technicians.
- Completes all mandatory job trainings, Computer Based Learning, and mandatory in-services training to enhance career and personal development.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of high school.
- Requires successful completion of an approved training program and one (1) year experience in or applicable to the care, treatment and habilitation of individuals with mental illness or developmental disabilities.

Requires the ability to travel in the performance of job duties.

Requires ability to pass the IDHS background check.

Requires ability to pass a drug screen for drugs prohibited from recreational use under Illinois Law.
