Job Responsibilities
Under direction, serves as a lead worker on an assigned shift to lower nursing care staff. Provides a range of professional nursing services in the care and treatment of individuals. Provides in-service training to direct service staff/nurses on medical protocols, policies and procedures. Completes medical reports in accordance with policies and guidelines; attends meetings to review medical status. Assists in the development of nursing policies and procedures with other supervisory personnel.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Requires (a) graduation from an aproved nursing education program resulting in as associate or diploma degree in nursing and two years of progressively responsible professional nursing experience; or (b) a bachelor's degree in nursing and one year of professional nursing experience; or (c) a master's degree in nursing. Requires licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois. Requires ability to acquire and maintain Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
