Position Overview
The Division of Family and Community Services is seeking to hire a position to serve as Client Employment and Training Coordinator for Region 2. This position organizes, plans, executes, controls and evaluates the Region’s TANF employment program; in collaboration with the Regional training staff, develops, delivers and evaluates training for Regional Staff on employment-related policies, procedures and initiatives; in coordination with training staff, presents training on employment attainment and retention issues; coordinates the linkage of DHS employment programs with local office service delivery; and implements agency policy and procedures of the Employment and Training program provides input on statewide employment and training program planning and development.
Essential Functions

Serves as Client Employment and Training Coordinator for Region 2.

As part of the Regional team and in collaboration with Regional training staff, develops, implements and evaluates training for Regional staff on employment-related policies and procedures.

Performs liaison and public relation duties for the Region.

Performs liaison relationships for employment-related issues, with TANF Program staff in the Division and Department.

Directs management studies of Regional client employment and training related outcomes.

Provides input and coordinates efforts with the Division and Regional Offices to establish and maintain effective working relationships, promotes understanding and sustains cooperation with TANF and Teen Parent Services Program efforts.

Performs other duties as assigned or required which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications

Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college.

Requires three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative experience in the fields, of health or human services.
Specialized Skills
-
Of the three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative experience in the fields of health or human services, requires three (3) years of experience working with a TANF caseload, developing TANF-related training materials, and working with community partners and outside agencies developing RSP’s and enrolling TANF customers in self-sufficiency activities.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Three (3) years of experience working with a TANF caseload, developing TANF-related training materials, and working with community partners and outside agencies developing RSP’s and enrolling TANF customers in self-sufficiency activities.

Two (2) years of professional supervisory experience assigning work, providing guidance to subordinates, and training staff.
-
Two (2) years of professional experience interpreting and implementing policies, procedures, and goals of public assistance services such as cash, food and medical assistance programs.

Two (2) years of professional experience in a public assistance eligibility system such as Integrated Eligibility Systems (IES).
-
Two (2) years of professional experience in current social welfare and economic problems of community and individual health, educational and recreational needs and community and state resources.

Two (2) years of professional experience with social casework methods, techniques, and principles gained through human services related college education or professional experience as a caseworker.

Two (2) years of professional casework experience in a social service agency.
Conditions of Employment
