Position Overview
The Berm Technician 1 will assist with setting up and tearing down shooting stages; assist with major events; assist with range maintenance (ex: garbage collection, lawn mowing and trimming, berm and bay maintenance, etc.); perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions
1. Setting up and tearing down stages
2. Setting targets for open range participants
3. Upkeep of the pistol/rifle range (garbage collection, lawn mowing, etc.)
4. Inform public of safety procedures
5. Assist in repair of props and targets
Minimum Qualifications
Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to 8 years of elementary education.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions;
- Must be able to operate farm equipment (lawn mowers, small tractors);
- Willingness to learn basic competition format;
- Willingness to learn differences in firearms and calibers.

- Must be a minimum of 17 years old;
- Possession of a valid Drivers License;
- Requires ability to lift, carry, transport loads up to 50 pounds;
- Requires physical condition and ability to perform position responsibilities;
- Requires availability on most weekends, and some nights or holidays for events;
- Ability to alter work schedule to meet the needs of the WSRC including some longs shifts up to 10 hours;
- Ability to pass background check.
- Requires ability to legally be around firearms.
