Position Overview

The Berm Technician 1 will assist with setting up and tearing down shooting stages; assist with major events; assist with range maintenance (ex: garbage collection, lawn mowing and trimming, berm and bay maintenance, etc.). Perform other duties at WSRC facility as assigned which are reasonably within scope of duties enumerated above.

Essential Functions

• Setting up and tearing down stages
• Setting targets for open range participants
• Upkeep of the pistol/rifle range (garbage collection, lawn mowing, berm and bay maintenance, etc.)
• Inform public of safety procedures
• Assist in repair of props and targets

Minimum Qualifications

• Requires education, knowledge, and mental development equivalent to a minimum of an 8th grade education. 

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions;
• Ability to be able to operate farm style equipment (lawn mowers, small tractors, trimmers, etc.) and basic construction tools (drills, etc.)
• Willingness to learn basic competition format;
• Willingness to learn differences in firearms and calibers.

• Minimum age of 17 possessing a valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to be around Firearms.
• Requires ability to lift, carry, and transport loads up to 50 pounds;
• Requires physical condition and ability to perform position responsibilities.
• Requires ability to work in all climates and weather conditions.
• Requires ability to work most weekends, with occasional evening or holiday for events.
• Ability to alter work schedule to meet the needs of the WSRC including some longs shifts up to 10 hours.
• Requires completion of a background check and self-disclosure criminal history.
