Position Overview
The Sporting Clays Technician 1 will assist the manager on day-to-day operation duties; perform routine maintenance on electronics and trap machines; test and regulate batteries on machines and electronics; assist manager in preparation of shooting events (setting course, loading machines); must responsibly operate UTV and other small equipment (forklift, sporting clays machines, etc.); must be able to work independently; clean up debris on courses; secure and maintain a safe shooting line-of-fire.
Essential Functions
- Ensure machines are loaded and operate properly
- Secure and maintain a safe shooting line-of-fire
- Ensure trash is picked up regularly
- Prepare for events
- Keep batteries ready to place on course
Minimum Qualifications
Requires education, knowledge, and mental development equivalent to an 8th grade education.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefers previous experience at World Shooting & Recreation Complex
- Prefers ability to operate simple equipment such as sporting clays machine, forklift, UTV, etc.
Employment Conditions

- Must be a minimum of 17 years old;
- Possession of a valid Drivers License;
- Requires ability to lift, carry, transport loads up to 25 pounds;
- Required physical condition and ability to perform position responsibilities;
- Requires the ability to work most weekends, with an occasional evening or holiday;
- Have ability to alter work schedule to meet the needs of the WSRC including some long shifts up to 9-10 hours;
- Ability to pass background check;
- Requires ability to legally be around firearms.
