Position overview:
The Department of Healthcare and Family Services, Child Support Services (CSS) - Administrative Operations is seeking to hire a highly qualified and motivated professional to join our Account Resolution Unit in the role of Account Resolution Team Supervisor. This position plans, directs, and evaluates accounting, account maintenance, and account service functions for Team 2 of the Account Resolution Unit. This position also develops and implements procedures for the processing of account adjustments and for the monitoring and updating accounts. It analyzes and implements current policies, federal regulations, accounting methods and techniques.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills to be successful in performing the operations of the Account Resolution Unit.

Essential Function
- Under general direction, serves as an Account Resolution Team Supervisor in planning, directing, and evaluating accounting, account maintenance and account service functions for Team 2 of the Account Resolution Unit
- Serves as a working supervisor
- Identifies system issues with impact manual account reviews and adjustments
- Plans, directs, and conducts monthly team meetings to discuss policy, procedures, personnel, operations, and other issues
- Reviews, analyzes, and implements current policies, procedures, federal regulations, and accounting methods and techniques
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college, preferably with courses in business or public administration.
- Requires two (2) years of responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization
Specialized Skills
- Requires two (2) years of administrative experience interpreting state and federal policy as it relates to child support
- Requires two (2) years of experience completing complex case financial accounting reviews including adjustments and distribution, and training of technical aspects of case accounting methods
Preferred Qualifications
- Two (2) years of administrative experience interpreting state and federal policy as it relates to child support
- Two (2) years of experience completing complex case financial accounting reviews including adjustments and distribution, and training of technical aspects of case accounting methods
- Two (2) years of experience working with confidential information
- Two (2) years of experience communicating both verbally and in writing with a variety of individuals including but not limited to employees, customers and agency officials
- Two (2) years of experience supervising staff
- Two (2) years of experience working in the child support field
Conditions of Employment
- Requires the ability to pass a national background check prior to employment due to accessing confidential federal tax information
- Requires the ability to utilize and maintain state issued equipment such as a laptop
- Requires ability to travel in the performance of duties, with overnight stays as appropriate
