Position Overview
Under general supervision, performs technical accounting work for the Business Office in the Bureau of Pharmacy & Clinical Support Services. Verifies a variety of complex financial documents including vouchers, invoices, contracts, and purchase orders. Utilizing SAP, verifies the purchase requests from Bureau pharmacies and programs have sufficient funding. Posts, adjusts, balances, and maintains accounts in the accounting system. Serves as timekeeper for assigned staff. Completes DoIT (Department of Innovation & Technology) System Requests for new lines or equipment, line changes, phone upgrade/removal. Notifies Office of Pharmacy and Clinical Support Services staff of any DHS or CMS policy changes regarding travel issues. Processes miscellaneous collections from General Revenue Fund and Private Resource Fund.
Essential Functions

Performs technical accounting work for the Business Office in the Bureau of Pharmacy and Clinical Support Services.

Utilizing SAP, verifies the purchase requests from Bureau pharmacies and programs have sufficient funding.

Provides telecommunications assistance for the Bureau.

Serves as timekeeper for assigned staff.

Reviews completed travel vouchers to ensure accuracy and compliance with Department of Human Services (DHS) and Department of Central Management Services (CMS) travel rules.

Performs other duties as assigned or required which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
-
Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of two (2) years of college and completion of an approved training course OR three (3) years of related clerical bookkeeping experience.

Qualifying state employees in the employee Upward Mobility Program, may complete combinations of specific proficiency tests and training programs leading to a certificate of proficiency in lieu of the stated requirements for this classification.
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm, 1-hour unpaid lunch
