Position Overview
DPH- Office of Policy, Planning and Statistics Account Tech II position will handle the tracking Obligated Agreements and accounts payable for multiple Federal Awards, General Revenue and State Special Funding appropriations. That includes processing commercial vouchers, Travel Reimbursements and Revolving Fund payments to CMS for DoIT service, Facility Leases and Telecommunications. Prepare expenditure reports, obligation reports and document reports of payments pending for all the divisions within our office on as needed or at minimum a Quarterly basis.
Account Tech II position will also handle administrative duties such as filing, opening mail, date stamping incoming mail, ensuring all necessary approval documentation is included with contracts / grants & vendor payments when submitted to fiscal operations. Approval forms include; consolidated request form, approval memos for memberships, In & Out of state travel approvals, etc. After confirmation of approvals distribute agreements to the next process for entry into the contract accounting system (SAP-SRM), review & process vendor payments to suppliers, contractors & grantees in SAP Accounting System.

Essential Functions
- Independently performs technical accounting work in maintaining a complete set of complex general account books for a variety of federal and state programs in the Office of Policy, Planning and Statistics
- Maintains complete set of complex general account excel Budget reports for a variety of federally funded grants and state funded programs within the Office.
- Analyzes program grant obligation and expenditure patterns.
- Prepares financial reports.
- Enters detailed specifics from vendor agreements into Grant/Contract Tracking Smartsheet and GATA grant reconciliation database.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of two years of college and one year of technical experience. OR Requires four years of related clerical bookkeeping experience.
