Position Overview
Under direction this position is responsible for performing professional level accounting functions related to the maintenance of interagency agreement budget requests from various divisions; reconciliation of receipts, expenditures and cash with the Comptroller's office; assist with GAAP reporting and manages Official Advanced Funds (OAF) for the department. Analyze reconciliation discrepancies and initiate corrections which may require working with other units. Prepare applicable reports used for supporting documentation for preparation of C-17 Local Held Funds quarterly reporting. Prepare C-17 accurately and timely. Analyzes cost reports, determines costs and settlement amounts and generates final cost reports. Completes modification forms

Essential Functions
- Under direction, independently performs maintenance of a variety of departmental funds and the preparation, summarization and reconciliations of receipts, cash and expenditures with the Comptroller's Office.
- Conducts the first Office of Finance (OOF) review of C-97s and communicates with the divisions on issues.
- Receive, review, record monthly Official Advanced Funds (OAF) reports from agents.
- Responsible for submitting new/revised cost center and pay codes to applicable parties outside of OOF.
- Review and approve various interagency agreements and memorandum of agreements created by various units within the agency.
- Assists in completion of GAAP reporting.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonable and within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four years college, with courses in business administration and accounting
- Requires two (2) years of professional experience in accounting, external auditing or public accounting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefers two (2) years of experience with preparing complex financial spreadsheets and accounting reports.
- Prefers two (2) years of professional experience working with receipts and receivables.
- Prefers one (1) year of experience using System Applications and Products in Data Processing (SAP) accounting software
- Prefers intermediate level of expertise using Adobe Professional, Microsoft Word and Excel.
