Position Overview
Under administrative direction of the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Fiscal/Vendor Manager, independently performs complex accounting and auditing functions for the Bureau of Family Nutrition programs including the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC). Reviews, audits, and reconciles complex statements and reports, enters contract obligations, voucher payments and expenditure documentation into the FCS SharePoint system. Reconciles Bureau of Family Nutrition grant funds including, but not limited to, WIC Administration, WIC and Senior Farmers Market, WIC Food Center, WIC Breastfeeding Peer Counseling, WIC Infant Formula Rebate, Commodity Supplemental Foods, SNAP Education and SNAP Outreach. Reconciles and verifies WIC Banking, and future Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) payments. Reviews spending plan contract balances and extracts SAP HANA reports to assist in reviewing historic data and forecasting future spending trends in contracts.
Essential Functions
- Reviews, audits, and reconciles complex statements and reports, enters contract obligations, voucher payments and expenditure documentation into the Family and Community Services (FCS) Tracking system.
- Reconciles Bureau of Family Nutrition grant funds including, but not limited to, WIC Administration, WIC and Senior Farmers Market, WIC Food Center, WIC Breastfeeding Peer Counseling, WIC Infant Formula Rebate, Commodity Supplemental Foods, SNAP Education and SNAP Outreach.
- Reconciles and verifies WIC Retail Banking and future Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) payments.
- Reviews spending plan contract balances, extracts SAP HANA reports to assist in reviewing and monitoring historic data and forecasting anticipated future spending trends across grants and administration contacts.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years college with courses in business, administration, and accounting.
- Requires two (2) years of professional experience in accounting, external auditing, budgetary planning, and control of public accounting.
