Position Overview
The Division of Rehabilitation Services (DRS) is the state’s lead division serving people with disabilities committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility and racial justice. The mission of the Division is to assist individuals with disabilities in achieving their goals of employment, education, and independent living. This position monitors and processes transactions using both federal and state reviewing, tracking, and analyzing expenditures and ensuring timely and accurate payment of vouchers in the Division of Rehabilitation Services/Bureau of Support Services. The Division is seeking to hire a self-motivated and detailed orientated individual with good communication skills.
Essential Functions

Performs professional accounting procedures involving the maintenance of a support system for general administrative and program accounts for the Division of Rehabilitation Services/Bureau of Support Services.

Examines, reviews and audits travel vouchers for accuracy, compliance, and processes and posts to accounting system.

Ensures expenditures are coded correctly, answers correspondence and handles inquiries pertaining to policies, rules and regulations, billing procedures, payments, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.

Assists in reconciling receipts and expenditures with other known collateral sources to ensure accuracy and to resolve discrepancies.

Develops and runs spreadsheet updates, voucher processing and grant tracking. Assists with contract and grants reconciliations.

Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications

Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years college, with courses in business administration and accounting.

Requires two (2) years of professional experience in accounting, external auditing, budgetary planning and control or public accounting.
Work Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:30am-5pm, 1 hour unpaid lunch.
