Position Overview

Under general direction, performs a variety of important staff functions, assisting in the administrative activities for the Statewide Program Initiative Administrator of the Family and Community Resource Centers, performs personnel related special management review projects to identify services needed and problems experienced by Local Offices. Composes management reports; assists supervisor in the development and implementation of internal policy and procedures; interprets and explains to staff within the Region. 

Job Responsibilities

25%     1. Coordinates with other Regional staff, management staff and Local Office Administrators, regarding program development, analysis of progress results and the design and implementation of new or revised policy, procedures and methods of operation.

 

20%     2. Researches, gathers information and independently performs special projects and studies for the Statewide Program Initiative Administrator, some of which are complex and sensitive in nature.

 

15%     3. Assists Statewide Program Initiative Administrator in reviewing internal functions and procedures for effectiveness and efficiency.

 

15%     4. Serves as correspondence control monitor for the Statewide Program Initiative Administrator.

 

 

Job Responsibilities Continued

15%     5. Serves as timekeeper for the Office of Family & Community Resource Centers. Monitors and enters employee daily attendance sheets in the computerized payroll system. Resolves outstanding time issues including incorrect or no entries, etc., and advises on timekeeping codes and entries. Establishes and maintains file system for staff attendance, reports, resignations, retirements, etc.

 

5%       6. Maintains control and monitors completion of Merit Compensation Performance Reviews for the Regions.

 

5%       7. Performs other duties as assigned or required which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college, preferably with courses in public or business administration.

 

2. Requires one year professional experience in a public or private organization, or completion of an agency approved professional management training program.
