POSITION OVERVIEW

Central Management Services (CMS) is seeking to hire a Transaction Generalist within the office of Transactions and Property Administration located within the Bureau of Property Management (BoPM). This position will serve as subject matter expert on leasing procedures and execution. Position will also serve as support with Bureau Space Planners with space requests and verify and assist with leasing items and provide support functions with the State’s Procurement System. CMS invites any and all qualified applicants to apply for the position of Transaction Generalist to assist and serve the State of Illinois.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

30%  Functions as the Transactions Generalist to the Manager of Transactions (MOT) and the Regional Transactions Expert (RTE)

 

25%  Directs and conducts a variety of studies for the MOT and RTE

 

25% Recommends administrative operations and policies to the MOT and RTE via the evaluation of information and data utilized by the RTE in the ongoing analysis and research of progress on operational components of the Central and Southern Regions' Transactions Management operations

 

15%  Serves as liaison to property owners, landlords, officials from all client agencies in the Regions in the development and installation of transactions projects and in explaining and interpreting the policies and intent of the Transactions Management function to enhance the effectiveness of understanding, standardization and integration of intent to all client agencies and related concerned parties

 

 5%  Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Requires knowledge, skills, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college with coursework in business management, real-estate, facility management or a related field

 

  • Requires two years of professional experience in a public or private organization

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • Prefers experience in business management, managing real-estate transactions, asset management or facility management

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

  • This position requires the ability to pass a background check
  • This position requires the ability to work overtime
  • Per Executive Order 2018-07, requires engagement with Business Enterprise Program (BEP) contractors and subcontractors and support for the goals of the BEP program and the Fair Contracting Task Force when applicable
