Essential Functions

  • Under administrative direction, serves as the Application Developer for the Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT) supporting the Department of Central Management Services (CMS)
  • Develops, modifies, supports, and maintains systems, sites, and forms utilizing SDLC or Agile development methodologies
  • Writes user stories, use cases, and program specifications
  • Serves as a liaison between agency and technology provider (either DoIT or third parties) ensuring open inquiries are followed to completion
  • Promotes DoIT service offerings to agency
  • Keeps abreast of new developments in the Information Technology (IT) field
  • Performs other duties or assigned that area reasonably with the scope of the duties enumerated above

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to four (4) years of college with course work in computer science or directly related fields.
  • Requires three (3) years of professional experience in Applications Services or a related Information Technology field. 

Specialized Skills

  • Requires three (3) years of professional experience with application development such as .Net. C#, or VB.Net.
  • Requires three (3) years of professional experience using MS SQL with scripting or SSIS. 
  • Requires three (3) years of professional experience with Microsoft Power Platform such as PowerBI, Dynamics, Power Automate, or access. 
  • Requires three (3) years of professional experience with System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) or Agile frameworks and processes.  

Preferred Qualifications

  • Three (3) years of professional experience with application development such as .Net. C#, or VB.Net.
  • Three (3) years of professional experience using MS SQL with scripting or SSIS. 
  • Three (3) years of professional experience with Microsoft Power Platform such as PowerBI, Dynamics, Power Automate, or access. 
  • Three (3) years of professional experience with System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) or Agile frameworks and processes.  
  • Three (3) years of professional experience with system documentation and diagraming, Business Process Design and Business Process Reengineering.
  • Ability to analyze and diagnose system issues and coordinate efforts to resolve.

  • Developed verbal and written communication skills to present information to others with clarity and precision.
