Position Overview
This position is responsible for assisting with testing and analyzing software solutions and systems and ensuring the quality meets the standards and scope of a project as well as upholding regulatory compliance standards. The incumbent assists with developing and implementing testing plans, creating test cases and test scripts, and documenting findings to ensure solutions meet the functional requirements of product owners.

Essential Functions
- Performs detailed and recorded quality assurance reviews of applications to ensure they are up to industry, legislative, and regulatory standards.
- Implements methods to inspect, test, and evaluate Information Systems Contingency Plans (ISCP).
- Works closely with IT security and risk management staff within BIP to ensure functionality and support requirements are documented and tested properly.
- Responsible for the delivery of continuous improvement and coordinating with business areas, DoIT, stakeholders, vendors, and external partners.
- Assists with development of the data catalog testing posture for the BIP.
- Delivers all accountabilities through direct oversight from the IT Security and Data Manager and ensures alignment with the data catalog.
- Ensures key traceability, vendor management, and data oversight metrics are established as well as the delivery of the established metrics and key performance indicators.
- Proactively engages in the development and training of ISCP review processes and testing tools.
- Conducts meetings and reviews with data owners to ensure compliance.
- Evaluates software and system performance, identifies corrective actions, and implements follow up assessments.
- Performs duties in compliance with departmental safety rules. Performs all duties in a manner conducive to the fair and equitable treatment of all employees.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Completion of a bachelor’s degree majoring in information technology, computer science, or management information systems; OR Completion of two years of college plus two years of experience supporting computer systems and/or applications, testing software, designing software, or a combination thereof; OR Six years of experience supporting computer systems and/or applications, testing software, designing software, or a combination thereof.
Preferred Qualifications
• Understanding of data management and data analysis
• Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Experience with ISCP or Disaster Recovery (DR) development, review, and testing processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Office 365 applications
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff
