Position Overview
We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team! The ideal candidate prefers more than four years of progressively responsible administrative work experience managing comprehensive programs, such as those that address the needs of vulnerable populations or socially complex needs. You should also have more than four years of experience working with services provided under the Older Americans Act or a Community Care Program. We need someone with more than three years of experience promulgating and implementing policies, procedures, statutes, and administrative rules, as well as managing staff. If you have more than two years of experience utilizing databases to prepare complex reports and documents, even better. Additionally, the role prefers candidates with more than one year of experience in grant management and utilizing the Microsoft Office suite of products.

Essential Functions
- As a policymaking official, directs, plans, executes, and evaluates the field administration operations of the Community Care Program (CCP).
- Serves as the Agency’s spokesperson on behalf of the Division Manager with delegated authority to commit the Agency to specific courses of action.
- Directs the development of annual budget projections and monitors program expenditures for divisional programs under the Community Care Program (CCP).
- Supervises subordinates, assisting in the development of the staff toward individual performance goals.
- Confers with division manager and other staff in the development, dissemination, and analysis of program data, policies, procedures, rules and regulations, guidelines, standards, and technical assistance material.
- Directs and coordinates the preparation of management studies, reports, and program analysis for the evaluation of existing and proposed changes to the division programs.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned, which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to (4) four years of college or equivalent in General Administration/Management or related field.
- Requires (4) four years of progressively responsible administrative work experience managing a comprehensive program (i.e. programs that address the needs of a vulnerable population, or socially complex needs).
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefers four (4) years of experience working with services provided under the Older Americans Act or a Community Care Program.
- Prefers three (3) years of experience promulgating and implementing policies, procedures, statutes, and administrative rules.
- Prefers three (3) years of experience managing staff.
- Prefers two (2) years of experience in utilizing databases to prepare complex reports and documents.
- Prefers one (1) year of experience with grant management.
- Prefers one (1) year of experience utilizing the Microsoft Office suite of products.
Conditions of Employment
- Requires ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Requires weekly travel within the state and occasional travel outside of the state.

Term Appointment:
Candidates hired into a term position shall be appointed for a term of 4 years and are subject to a
probationary period. The term may be renewed for successive four-year terms at the Director of the
Department on Aging’s discretion.
