Position Overview
Under direction, monitors and controls the Division’s statewide Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC) and Firearm Control Card (FCC) enforcement programs, the Intent to Deny process, and the Division’s statewide Registered Adult Use Cannabis and statewide Medical Cannabis enforcement programs. Reviews United States Department of Justice Federal Bureau of Investigation identification records and Illinois Department of State Police Criminal History Record Information Subject Identification information for criminal history analysis as authorized by State statutes. Provides input and recommendations to supervisor regarding operational functions related to program compliance. Serves as designated lead worker. Travels and serves as liaison to division supervisors, Chiefs of the various Prosecutions units, General Counsel and designated committee/board members.

Essential Functions
- Implements policies and procedures for the administration of the PERC and FCC enforcement programs, the Intent to Deny process, and the Division’s statewide Registered Adult Use Cannabis and statewide Medical Cannabis enforcement programs.
- Reviews United States Department of Justice Federal Bureau of Investigation identification records and Illinois Department of State Police Criminal History Record Information Subject Identification information for criminal history analysis as authorized by State statutes.
- Provides input and recommendations to supervisor regarding operational functions related to program compliance.
- Serves as designated lead worker.
- Travels and serves as liaison to division supervisors, Chiefs of the various Prosecutions units, General Counsel and designated committee/board members regarding Division policies and procedures pertaining to enforcement of statutes/policies.
- Conducts and implements management research studies.
- Operates a personal computer to verify data related to investigative case tracking in the system.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college, preferably with coursework in business or public administration.
- Requires one year of responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization, or completion of an agency approved professional management training program.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefers at least three years of providing customer service by both phone and email.
- Prefers at least three years of experience as a member of, or liaison to, a board/committee.
- Prefers at least two years of experience in a managerial or executive level position.
Conditions of Employment
- Requires the possession of a valid, appropriate driver’s license and the ability to travel in the performance of duties.
- Requires completion of a background check and self-disclosure of criminal history.
