This position is responsible for supervising the Exceptions Processing and Document Control Section and ensuring the accurate data capture of information. Job Responsibilities
- Under general supervision, plans, monitors, and directs the activities of the Exceptions Processing and Document Control Section/
- Serves as a full line supervisor.
- Directs, coordinates, and participates in a variety of special projects as instructed by the Bureau or Division Manager.
- Serves as liaison with intra-agency sections, units, and outside vendors to resolve discrepancies and effect corrections.
- Assists higher level staff in the development of operational improvements like alpha-numeric input and verifying procedures, program changes, setting standards for uniform input, coding techniques, and workflow.
- Prepares daily progress, machine utilization, and efficiency reports.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of high school.
- Requires three years of system operations and/or control experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- One (1) year of experience supervising and directing staff in the operation and system monitoring of computer equipment.
- Two (2) years of experience editing completed batches of work, reviewing edits, batches, and printouts for accuracy.
- Two (2) years of experience maintaining a variety of production logs and statistics.
- Two (2) years of experience establishing and maintaining document controls to regulate volume, accuracy, and quality of work performed.
- Intermediate proficiency using Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet software.
- One (1) year of experience assigning and reviewing work of subordinate staff.
- One (1) year of experience developing, installing, and evaluating new and revised methods and procedures.
Conditions of Employment
- Requires the ability to successfully complete a tax compliance and fingerprint-based background check.
- This position is considered heavy work as defined by the U.S. Department of Labor (20 CFR 404.1567(d)). Heavy work involves lifting no more than 100 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Requires the ability to use and secure a state issued mobile device, e.g., cellular phone, laptop computer, tablet, etc.
