Executive II (Facility Manager)
Essential Functions
- As the Facility Manger, organizes, plans, executes, controls, and evaluates the operations of the Gaming Board’s facilities.
- Serves as Fleet Manager for the IGB.
- Serves as a working supervisor.
- Organizes, plans, executes, controls, and evaluates the operations of IGB’s Records Retention program.
Minimum Qualifications
- This position requires the knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college, preferably with courses in business or public administration.
- This position requires two (2) years of responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization.
Conditions of Employment
- Pass Illinois Gaming Board’s background investigation (background check).
- Requires ability to travel in the performance of duties, with overnight stays as appropriate.
- Requires an appropriate, valid driver’s license.
- Must comply with the State Officials and Employees Ethics Act: No State employee who works for the Illinois Gaming Board, or spouse or immediate family member living with such person shall, during State employment, hold an ownership interest in, other than a passive interest in, a publicly traded company, in any gaming license under the Illinois Gambling Act, the Video Gaming Act, the Illinois Horse Racing Act of 1975, or the Sports Wagering Act.
- Must comply with the Illinois Gambling Act: No person shall be employed to serve the Board who is, or whose spouse, parent or child is, an official of, or has a financial interest in or financial relation with, any operator engaged in gambling operations within this State, or any organization engaged in conducting horse racing within this State.
- Must comply with the Illinois Gambling Act: For the one year immediately preceding employment, an employee shall not have been employed or received compensation or fees for services from a person or entity, or its parent or affiliate, that has engaged in business with the Board, a licensee, or a licensee under the Illinois Horse Racing Act of 1975.
Preferred Qualification (In Order of Significance)
- Prefers two (2) years of experience with vehicle and property management, budgeting, statistics, and procurement.
- Prefers two (2) years of experience working with the SAP Asset Management system or similar automated asset tracking system.
- Prefers two (2) years of experience supervising subordinate union represented staff.
- Prefers one (1) year experience with C-15 asset reporting or other mandated asset tracking reporting.
- Prefers at least two (2) years of experience with Microsoft office, including Outlook, Excel and Word.
