Position Overview
The Illinois Department of Public Health is seeking a highly motivated individual to organize, plan, execute, control and evaluate the operations of the statewide Family Planning Program delegate agencies. Manages, plans, develops, maintains and implements the fiscal and grants management of the Illinois Family Planning Program. Collects, analyzes and disseminates narrative and statistical reports related to the Illinois Family Planning Program.
Job Responsibilities
- Monitors Illinois Family Planning Program delegate agencies statewide.
- Facilitates the electronic grant preparation, fiscal review, award, grant release and reimbursement monitoring.
- Facilitates and implements monitoring plans for program grant agreements statewide.
- Assesses policies, and procedures.
- Confers regularly with supervisors and program administrators within the Illinois Family Planning Program to ensure they are aware of delegate agency progress towards meeting performance outcomes including noncompliance issues such as clarification and support with corrective action plans.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college, preferably with courses in public health, social or human services.
- Requires two years of responsible administrative experience in public health programs addressing reproductive health.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Prefers experience in Microsoft Access, spreadsheets and electronic grant application systems.
Conditions of Employment
- Requires ability to travel to in-state and out-of-state meetings.
Work Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30 to 5:00
